Job description

I work in Belgium as a project coordinator for an NGO involved in pedagogical innovation and inclusive education. We develop projects funded by the European Commission in the Erasmus + framework. Our specialization is in the fields Inclusion and Innovation, STEM Education, Game-Based Learning, Entrepreneurship, Technology for Education, Literacy, and much more. There, I am in charge of the management of multiple projects where I create content, develop tools, guides and resources, and collaborate with EU partners and promote our projects in schools, and various other institutions.

Why did you choose this program?

What drew me the most to the program was the opportunity to study abroad and get involved with the international community. The topics of the classes were also very interesting as it covered a broad spectrum of ideas and concepts. I was able to choose a concentration on something that really interested me.

How did this program prepare you for your job?

The interdisciplinary aspect of the program helped me a lot. I can cover a wider range of projects in my job because I was trained to learn in various disciplines and think outside of my own box. This really helped me grow an all-encompassing outlook on things which is very useful when working with organizations from different countries, backgrounds and experiences.

What did you enjoy most about the program?

The openness! Both from the professors but also from the program itself. First, the professors were always open to conversation, debate, and discussing ideas, whether it was in class or in office hours. They were available and understanding, but also ready to challenges us and push us when we needed it. The program in itself is rooted in broadening your mind and your critical thinking skills but also your cultural biases, your own experience and your outlook on things, which I found amazing.

What would you say to prospective students who are thinking about applying to this program?

Don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone! This program can take you to the other side of the world, have you discover new languages, cultures, and concepts, but also take you to the world of politics, economics, international relations, and much more. If you are looking for a program that promotes knowledge, debates, new ideas, and culture, it's the perfect fit.
